Help Broke my screen.. Options?

DatacomGuy

Android Enthusiast
Argh.. Broke my damn screen. Dropped it on the concrete while I was almost being ran over downtown.

What are my options? I don't currently have insurance. Phone is usable.

It is reported that if you have Motorola replace the screen the cost is $110 and takes a few weeks. The result is predictable and guaranteed.

You might be able to get it replaced locally. The results might not be as good and they might be just as good (and faster).

There are detailed instructions kicking around the Internet with lots of pictures that show exactly what is needed to do it yourself. It is beyond what I am prepared to do.

If it was mine I would get the Motorola replacement it.

I'm so sorry to hear about that... :(

I've seen mint condition used ones on craigslist go for 200 bucks (If you can trust craigslist). Top sellers on ebay have them (Supposedly new) for under $400 and refurbs for under $300 if you just want another phone.
