Broken "a" key. Possible to swap it's function?

My droid has a broken 'a' key. Is there any way to swap it's function with a less commonly used key, like 'z'?

I'm sure VZW would replace it if u brought it in to them. Why not just do that and have a 100% working Moto Droid? Or just use the touch keyboard.
