my wife has/had the curve but the "r" and "v" is not working. she got her curve the week i got my evo.

called wirefly today i insisted to speak to an american cust srvc rep (iam anti-outsourced).
spoke to an american advd of the situation, they have evos avail. so now the wife is getting a evo and will be in her hands on tuesday verz 0003 the rep said.

moral of the story is bypass outsourced cust service and you get what you need!

it's going to be weird for you to actually have a real web browser

BB addict now cured by Android, too! Yes, my BB served me well (and does have some business tools that are better) but overall the EVO & Hero are so much better for everything!! You are going to be very happy!:)

Is the size difference an issue coming from a curve? I also have a curve and waiting on an Evo.
No issue at all. It's about double the size of the curve.

I came from the curve and got a Hero, and now the EVO. They're both leaps ahead of BB. The only thing I even slightly miss is the BBM, but that's not really much more than texting so I manage.

Not in my mind (or hand for that matter!) - in fact I use a Sprint OEM leather case to carry it that I got with my Hero which is smaller than the BB Curve. But to be honest the EVO does have a substantial amount of bulk to it, but it feel very comfortable and natural in the hand, and you can feel the quality. You will be very happy with yours!

I have a Curve 8330 waiting for EVO on Aug 1. For you other converts, how does EVO's mp3 player / sound quality compare? The Curve's browser sux but I never had any complaints about audio.

So true! I hate calling customer service, waiting on hold forever only to be transfered to someone that barely speaks english and I have to repeat myself 100 times for then to understand the reason I'm calling. By that point I am so frustrated all I want to do is scream.

I am an ex Blackberry Tour user and must say that I miss that phone about ZERO..It was a complete nightmare to do anything on the internet.

I am converted from the Curve...I couldn't even get the blackberry app store to work on the blackberry when I had it! Just figured out how to get the blackberry notification sounds on the evo so that makes me happy as I was missing them...only thing I miss now is the keyboard. That is taking some getting used to as well as the predictive typing. Otherwise it is night and day better!

I converted from the Blackberry Tour, my son converted from the Blackberry BOLD 9650, and my husband converted from the 8530...

We agreed last week, our evos have been EXCELLENT!!!!

Personally I dont miss anything about my previous device.
