I use KeePass application to keep my passwords in a .kdb file. Whenever I opened my .kdb file from file explorer, it showed me a list of applications so I had to choose one to open the file. This alone is a bit inconvenient because, you see, I highly doubt that Adobe Reader is suitable for opening .kdb files. I am not sure though, maybe Adobe indeed had some file format with .kdb extension which I never heard of. So each time I wanted to open my I had to "choose" between Adobe Reader, some "File Manager" thing and KeePassDroid. I always clicked KeePassDroid, of course... But. Recently I discovered that there is no "KeePassDroid" item anymore. It somehow disappeared and now when I click .kdb file in the file explorer, I get only Adobe Reader and "File Manager". The question I want to ask is pretty obvious from what I wrote above: how do I create a file association so that files with .kdb file extension would get opened by KeePassDroid application? Please don't say that I should use Default Application Manager, I already tried it, it's no use and it has nothing to do with my problem. Well, anyway, maybe it somehow can be used to resolve the issue, but I guess I'm not smart enough to guess how exactly, so maybe someone can point it out for me please?
I can open the file from KeePassDroid application itself, but another problem here is that I use DropBox to synchronize my files, and to get the file synchronized, I have to open if from DropBox application, and this application uses only these system-wide file associations and offers Adobe Reader or File Manager for me and there's nothing I can do. I am surprised that there's still no appropriate tool for editing system file associations, it should be simplier, not like it is now... Or maybe there is a tool, I just don't know where to get it. I searched Google for "android file associations"; no luck...
