Broken headphone jack

Soo.... Don't ask me why but, I plugged my phone into guitar amplifier and I increased volume. When i plucked the string phone screen got all freaked out and restarted. After that headphones is buzzing very much. 80% unhearable. How to fix it?

So you plugged it into the phone's output lol? (sorry for laughing bro) chances are you've burned out something hardware, some kind of chip that supports audio output and for that there's nothing I can recommend other than putting it in for repair or buying a new phone, sorry man :thumbsupdroid:

Do you think new jack will fix it?

Never plug the output of a large amplifier into a phone's input jack.
The large voltage swings will exceed the ratings of the phone's electronics and the end result is a blown chip.

You might be able to get it warranted out, IF you don't mention what you did.

Oh gawd...I just can't help but thinking of Spinal Tap. :D

"These go to eleven!!"

If you plugged the output of your Marshall or whatever into a phone's headphone jack, something very likely fried.

You need a direct injection box (DI box) to do this kind of thing, and you connect your amp's line-out, NOT the loudspeaker output!

I'll just share this scene from one of my favourite movies. :)

that is funny!

reminds me of the story in another forum (cars).
one guy wanted to cheaply "polish" his cylinders.
he poured sand into his gas tank! (suspect he was a troll.. at least I hope he was a troll).

for warranty.. DO NOT TELL THEM WHAT HAPPENED.
if warranty don't help. you might want to look into using a Bluetooth set.

Re-reading this thread, just reminded me of something that happened years ago. Friend of mine acquired a Realistic(Radio Shack) tuner amplifier from somewhere, plugged it in, made one hell of a BANG! Looked at the back and it stated "110-120 volts 60 Hz"....oops!... this was in the UK.
