Help Broken LCD screen..

Hi guys,

I'm hoping someone out there can help.

I dropped my phone (I727R) and the lcd screen cracked on me.
Now the phone is blank but it appears to be still working.


I went out and got the exanct same phone. What I'm wanting to do is extract some files from my broken phone but I can't seem to get the phone to show up on my PC. USB connects but nothing shows up.

Can anyone please help? I have photos of my new born baby that I would like to extract from the phone.

First off, sorry to hear that happen.

Second, did you have an External SD card installed? IF yes, did you have your camera set to auto save files there? If no, it may be difficult.

The reason is, that once you connect the phone to the PC, you have to enable USB debugging mode on the phone in order for the PC to gain access to the internal SD card. If your screen is not working at all, then you're not able to do that and the only option I can recommend is to go to Rogers store and see if they can possibly transfer the files(no gurantees though)
 
Thanks for the reply.... unfortunately I do not have an external SD card. Thats something I will be going out and buying right away.

Does anyone know how much to replace the LCD screen?

If the LCD itself is broken, probably going to cost too much to fix. If it is the digitzer/glass only probably around $50-$75 POSSIBLY

Now sure if you have Craigslist, but that is always a good place to look for people who fix screens.
