Help Broken lock button

Ive had my incredible 2 for a while now and the button just stopped working so I can't turn the phone on. The button clicks but doesnt do anything, Im gonna take it to phone medic tomorrow and see what they can do. Apparently verizon wont replace it because I bought it from someone else and not them.

have you tried pulling the battery out, putting it back in and trying to restart the phone?

Already did that not thinking, and now I can't turn it back on

Well if you do ever get it back on you can get a lock replacement that will wake it up useing the volume keys. Sorry I can't be more of a help

Try plugging your phone into charge it. Since the phone has to be on to charge it, plugging it in should cause it to automatically boot up.

Don't know any app that locks the phone with the volume keys. But there are apps that locks the phone. Here are a couple:

You can do it with a free app called magiclocker, search the market for it (magiclocker main), wake the screen with the volume buttons, then use screen off and lock to lock it, that should do the trick.
Totally bypassing the need for the physical power button.

I have always been able to charge the phone while powered off, never had it turn on automatically.....is there some setting I've missed these past few years??? Curious for future reference (hopefully never need it, knock on wood)
