Broken Nexus 4

So, today I dropped my Nexus 4, it' bottom half of the screen isn't responding but the top half is. I'm stuck between 2 options, sell it on a website that buys broken electronics for a crap price, or repair it for a fortune. I have no insurance,

Hey there and welcome to the forums. Sorry about the bad luck.

I suppose there is one other option...you could try to fix it yourself possibly. Here's a repair guide if you're interested in taking the plunge:

Thank you, I appreciate your advice.

Although I have looked into fixing it myself I have ruled it out as a option. My cousin recently had the same problem (Galaxy S3), he attempted fixing it himself but made it worse and ended up selling to someone who would scrap it and use the parts. I have acknowledged the fact that we all have different talents but in my youth I used to "mod" my toy guns. Every time I failed miserably. I want to play it safe and just pay someone to fix it for me. I have also asked a few friends and family members who advise against it strongly.

did you manage to fix it? I replaced my broken Nexus 4 screen myself, and all is well. Got the replacement screen+panel+frame for

I had to replace the USB port in my original GNex. 1/2 hour later I was ordering a Nexus 4....
