Help Broken Phone

TwinTim

Lurker
I have a broken HTC Incredible 2. It wont charge. The charging port is loose. Verizon wont fix it because they said its got water damage, but it works fine other than it wont charge. I can but other batteries in it and it work just fine.
Where do I get something like this fixed?
Has anyone used Phone Doctor or heard any good things about them?

Thank.

You really cant fix a broken port of the board. The cell phone boards theses days are so tiny, and the solder points are pretty much not fixable. If you have insurance, you can pay the deductable, if not, think about getting it for your next phone.

And as far as Phone Doctor, I have never heard anything good about them. I have only heard of phones coming back in worse shape then they were sent out.

ok, thanks for the reply. I'll try to take it somewhere around here (Orange County) if I can find somewhere, and see what they say.

On the contrary....most new phones only have two solder points on data connectors. It's a very easy fix if you're handy with a soldering iron. Look on www.cnn.cn and see if they have any available. If not, Google incredible 2 data connector or incredible 2 J1 connector. Take it to a local cell phone repair spot. They should hook you up for around $30 or $40.
