Broken power button

Hello everyone,

My girl's droid 3 power button is broken, is there a trick to turn it back on. I've read a few articles did the typically Google search but cannot find anything useful.
Any help in the right direction will be greatly appreciated.

Well when I say broken power button I mean the power button is completely off. Not sure how it happened but her method on turning the phone back on is kind of consuming.
