hi half of the screen on my galaxy s4 cracked yesterday and the screen wont turn on. my LED is flashing and the buttons on the bottom of the phone are lighting up but not the screen. is there a way to turn my screen on?? i need to import some things like pictures to my laptop. also i was wondering since im getting a new phone in 2 days is there a way to import my contacts from the phone i have now to the new phone im getting with the screen cracked and not working??PLEASE HELP

It seems highly likely that you have broken the screen so the answer to your question about turning it on is probably that you can't.
Can you tell whether the digitizer still works? If it does then you may be able to turn on screen mirroring (you will need an MHL cable) blind.
Alternatively you could connect your phone to a laptop using a USB cable and copy the data you want off the mounted drives.
One other option is to have the screen repaired. This is expensive but you could then sell the phone once you have copied the data off it.
