Help Broken screen on Droid X need info off phone

I made a dumb mistake today and dropped my Droid X and the screen is broke. I don't see anything wrong on the outside of the screen, but when I turn it on all I see are lines. I can't make out anything on the screen. I have insurance and have already filed a claim, but I would like to get some info off the phone.

Contacts are backed up, but I would really like to get text and pix messages. Is there a way to get info off like this off the phone?

Can't you simply connect it via USB to a computer? If you are in either PC or USB mode you should be able to download your files.

Or if you have a mini usb reader or adapter...that'll work too

Sucks about the screen though :(

This. Though the tricky part maybe attempting to access the majority of files without being able to place it in "Mass Storage" mode.

Good Luck.

I just connected it to my computer and I see 6 folders. I have opend them all and can't see any text msgs. Do I need to change the mode? Any ideas how to do that?

I don't have android SDK

The folders are: albums, dcim, download, droidsounds, handcent, and mms.

There are also 2 .dil files

Hi all, the same thing happened with my incredible and I can't get anything off of it. I connected it and it keeps asking for a disk to be inserted into the removable disk. Any help around this would be helpful
