Help Browser crashes and missing plugins

So, we all know that CM9 is an ALPHA build....which means its not even as stable as an unstable Beta build. Nevertheless, its pretty darn good.

Anyway, I don't follow CM9 Touchpad news much other than to keep an eye out for updates and nightlies. The one thing that bugs me the most is the fact that both the stock browser and Chrome Beta seem to just close on me fairly often. Not force close with a notice....just close.

I'm just wondering, if this is common for everyone? Is there something in particular that is causing the closes? A plugin missing perhaps - I'm thinking flash?

Also, are there any workarounds for the missing youtube/vimeo etc plugins? For example, a lot of stories on sites like Gizmodo have embedded video clips that you can't play in the browser. You also can't click on it to view on youtube.com 'cause that doesn't work either. Any tips on how to open these videos in the youtube app short of searching for the video....which often doesn't show up.

What build (nightly?) are you on?

I don't watch youtube videos so you'll have to specify exactly which one doesn't work so we can reproduce it.

Just watched tracy. Funny stuff.

Got the "missing plugin" with Firefox, even tho flash was installed so opened it with stock browser. Had a little hang with I switched to full screen. Video played fine with 480p. I did not try 720p.

I'm running nightly 4/1, android 4.0.4. Sorry, not sure if it's stock or eyeballer... I've used both in the last week. About tablet says, "unofficial", but the file name appears to be stock.

I have run v6 supercharger in the past, but don't think I optimized this time. I'm overclocked at 1512 mhz.

I have the stock browser crashing issue. I'm running 5/13. I've been running the nightlies for the last month or so. I feel like it didn't happen as much in the beginning, like it got worse over time. I seem to get a browser crash two or three times a day.

Things you could try....

Factory reset (wipe data).
Different browser.

If you reset, make sure you have a backup in recovery, in case it doesn't help.

Semi-related..... what's with the horrific bright blue background that appears when you try to scroll down a web page that hasn't loaded yet? That is awful. I'd rather it just be blank.
