Help Browser Crashes With Any Download

Hi guys, my first post. I've done a fair amount of searching around the internet for an answer, to no avail, so I've taken the plunge and joined up.
Basically, every time I attempt to download anything through the browser, the browser immediately crashes, every time (Opera, Firefox, Chrome

Hello and welcome to the forum.:)

I'm not sure if this will work but I'd try clearing data for download manager in settings, application manager, all.

Nah it'll just delete the data telling you what has been downloaded and ongoing etc but won't actually delete the downloaded file.

Yeah, still crashes instantly. Any other ideas? Is there any download settings that I could have inadvertently set to create this sort of response?

I'm a bit stumped. If it was a problem with one browser I'd say clear data and cache for the browser but since it's happening on all browsers I can't see that working. Do you have limit background processes set to no background processes in settings, developer options? Or any of the other developer options ticked?

Background processes at standard limit and no other boxes are checked in developer options. Oddly, I was able to dl a picture in Opera, so I went and cleared cache/data for the stock Internet browser and no luck. Man, I'd really like to stick with the stock browser because I'm so used to it.

Try going to the play store and search download all files. You will be able to download a different download manager which might solve the problem. If it doesn't I'm out of ideas.

Arghhh!!! I am having this same issue. I can't find a solution on any other boards. I was at one point saving anything I wanted. Worked great for almost 6 months... about 1 month ago out of the blue, BAM! I can't save anything from the internet. Please help, anyone :( :stupido:

Have you tried any of the above suggestions. Which variant of the S3? Which OS is on the phone? Have you updated in the last month or so?

Took me forever to figure out. For me, you have to go into settings>apps>(whatever your browser is) then allow it access to storage. Its an avalible setting.

Thanks. That was my issue. What I stupid way to handle that option. Don't say anything, just crash the app. Lame. Thanks for figuring it out.
