Browser issues

My browser doesnt seem to be working anymore. I am using the stock browser and it worked fine up until a week ago. I use it primarily for a forum such as this and it freezes up all the time. I've tried clearing the cache and cookies and nothing seems to help. Not sure if I should go with another browser but I downloaded the dolphin one and that did the same thing. Anyone have a clue? Im not pc smart so please talk "dumb" to me if you have any clues!

I'd go into menu > applications > manage applications and clear cache and data, following a backup of the bookmarks.

Then I'd do a live battery pull or reboot (battery pull is better).

Ok so I've tried going into applications and clearing the cache but there is no option for data. Just options for "Clear defaults" and "Force Stop" -- Ive tried clearing all of those at one point or another. I've also gone into settings from the browser and cleared the cache, cookies, data etc from there.

Ive tried powering down and have taken my battery out at least 3 different times.

You lost me on backing up the bookmarks but I dont care if I lose those...
