Browser scrolling

I don't have an android but I was just playing around at the store and noticed the web browser doesn't scroll as smooth as the iPhone browser. I checked out espn.com full site because it's rich in content.

I also noticed the EVO having the same problem with choppy scrolling. Is this
a known issue with androids? Or is browser scrolling as smooth as Safari?
 
It's common with Android. My understanding is that the iPhone uses 2D hardware acceleration whereas Android (today) does not.
 
Android's browser support flash. So, it'lles a little longer for the page to fully load. If you try to scroll while it's still loading flash content, it would seem choppy or sluggish.
 
I agree that it appears to be a general android issue, but the Atrix is quite smooth overall. And, it's quite smooth with flash fully enabled.

Still could use a little less lag, but it's still an amazing experience.

Also, very snappy loading times. Even on stock browser, the speed is excellent.

Maybe I'll post a browser test with my Atrix and a friend's iPhone 4 later today..
 
How's the speed on Dolphin?

If I remember correctly, it loads pages slowest out of the common Android browsers (Skyfire, Opera, Stock).

But, it has gestures, right?

I'd actually consider using it for the gestures and lag-free scrolling!
