I previously had a Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro, which used a text-based browsing plan. I obtained an Xperia Arc for free from a friend, and was disheartened to discover that I would need a data plan to utilize the internet from the phone. Does anyone know if/how I can adjust the settings on the phone so that it connects to the internet using the text-based browsing? I.e. if I change my access point name to the one I had on my old phone, shouldn't it work?

As far as I know with this phone you can only connect to the internet with either a mobile network connection or a Wi-Fi connection. Other than that there is no other way to get internet with this phone. I could be wrong, so if there is another way I hope someone from the forum can correct me.
