Honestly, I read through his comments more thoroughly and I've came to the conclusion that he's just pranking us.
"VP of one company/Chairman of another company/Fellow of IEEE/Phd. Mathematics /Phd. Computer Science /Phd. Plasma Physics /US Naval Pilot (5 Tours in Afghanistan and Iraq)"
Cmon, are you serious? Does he really have 3 PhDs on top of 5 tours as a Naval Pilot whilst climbing the corporate ladder? Then there is:
"while we did spring for a Carl Z lens, we should have paid closer attention to the CMOS sensor and it's ability to capture photons (light particles) to increase night snap shots and high speed photos. Once again we did here the complaints/concerns and the Android Market came to the rescue by means of the talented people to get the most out of Original EVO 8mp camera"
I mean cmon, you are a Vice President with 3 doctorates and you cannot use proper punctuation. Actually, forget the punctuation, he can't even spell "hear" properly. I'm a god damn Junior in college speaking English as my second language and even I can do better than that.
I think we are all too caught up in the excitement and thirst for details that we believed him on a whim. If you look at all his predictions, the ones he got right that were actually at the presentation were pretty much regurgitations of the information leaked by BGR. It's easy to throw out a million different things, get a few right then claim that things got changed in the process.
If you think about it, the things he got wrong were pretty major. 4 gigs of ROM and the tri channel memory; lack of Sprint and HTC markings on the front due to small form factor, 3MP FFC; and kickstand are all major components that are far from what was announced. It may be believable if he was an engineer working with a prototype but if he really flew out to CTIA to present the phone as he claims, then there is no way he could have not known about these things.
I think the logical deduction is we got played. I wasn't here for the Evo 4G speculations but I have no reason to believe this man from here on.
