Help Bt choppy

Just got a set of helmet communications. When I connect my phone via bt to listen to music it is all choppy like a skipping cd. I dl a diffrent music player and it worked fine for a day. The next time I powered everything up it was choppy again. My s4 works fine on all other bt connections and these communication sets work fine on a iphone
