Buddies has stock text program LOCKED?!

A while ago Buddies randomly asked me which program I wanted it to check for text messaging, I clicked the stock messenger. Now its STUCK. I tried to go into the program settings and clear the info ect ect.

but I cant make Buddies use handscent when I want to send a text :(
 
I'm not sure I fully understand what you are asking but...
Try uninstalling the app and reinstalling.
Or if you are worried that you will lose conversations, try temporarily installing another messaging app.
I know when I install new apps that serve the same function as one I have already then I am often presented with a choice as to which program gets used as the default one.
installing an update will do the same.
It maybe that there is a setting in your app itself that says something like "use this program as the default messaging service"

While your suggestion did not work..I installed Chompsms and then it gave me the option to choose a default...So thank you!
 
go into manage applications and find the app that is causing the trouble, once you click on it there is something about using it as default for this purpose, just clear that.
