I have repeatedly assigned buddy Widgets and they keep erasing from the home screen IR deleting the assigned people off of the buddy widget.. is this a glitch.? Do I need to update my phone or what

Are there any good apps out there that do a better job? I like the idea of the buddy widget where I can tap a contact on a home page and text/email/call/etc right from there.

Suggestions?

Wish samsung would bring back the buddies rolodex from the Captivate, that one looked great. I'm not having any issues with the new one yet and I have 6 icons

yep, use the buddy widgets on my sgs2. worked perfectly until i updated to 2.3.5 a few days ago (via update software option on phone). Now they keep wiping about once a day, also when they wipe my calendar widget (the one that shows today's appts.) goes blank.

Infact imo gingerbread 2.3.5 has made my sgs2 much more unstable and glitchy, where as 2.3.4 was fine...damn update.

I have found no fix for it.

ok so i have found a fix, i just create a shortcut on the homescreen to the contact i want. when you tap it it comes up with the identical options that the buddy widget does......so why do we even need the widget?

but alas the phone is still glitchy thanks to 2.3.5 :(

chri1oo... that works, but the shortcuts are much smaller than the widget... which make it harder when driving and using the phone...
