Root Build.prop Mods!

Build.prop Mods

I will not be responsible if you mess up you phone. I absolutely am not a genius who figured this stuff out. It been out there for other phones for a while.

Code:
 wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=90
The default on the Triumph is to scan wifi in 90 second intervals. By increasing this value, you can potential increase your battery life (e.g. changing to 180 will cut in half the times your phone scans for wifi networks.)

Code:
dalvik.vm.heapsize=48m
The default on the Triumph is 48m. The heapsize is the pool of free memory allocated for apps. There is debate on what is the optimal heapsize. I haven't tried it yet, but I would try a range of 24m to 64m. I wouldn't think going any higher or lower then this range would be of any benefit since I believe the RAM is 512mb. I've read that 32m can potentially be optimal, but I believe it is a case of YMMV.

Code:
ro.sf.lcd_density=240
The default on the Triumph is 240. The screen density can improve how you screen appears in terms of the resolution. A common change value is 200.

I prefer to use adb to pull/push a copy of build.prop to my desktop rather then using an app to modify the file.

Now go play with you phone and let's all report back.

Please make any corrections or additions as you see fit.

Regards,

I use 200 dpi, really help with web browsing to show more of the page, but then some fonts are too small. There is an app called FontSize, but its not very good and is paid app. Which is strange since its so easy to change system font size with regular linux.

How about some edits for full market access? I've been trying to modify mine so I can buy some gameloft games. Pirated Order and chaos online to see if the phone could pull it off and what I got was flawless. emailed gameloft about adding the phone and the aceholes never responded.

Don't worry I deleted the game

I would go against using 200, if you go to low or to high your phone will power on to homescreen with no status bar then power back off over an over again. If anything, I advise to go a little than higher than 240, 260 give your phone a HD phone look, fits the screen better. Also, 48 is perfect for the heapsize for the triumph.

I'm actually now on 160 as a density. It's not for everyone, but I like it. I love high resolution screens with small text on it, that's just me though, I know most don't like it.

Yeah, here here for some of the Gameloft games. I'm having a blast with 'UNO' and it runs beautifully on the phone for the most part. Very flashy, very slick, and a rediculously addicting time waster.

They've got a killer version of Monopoly but sofar I haven't found one that will run on our phone.... yet.
