Bummer, I took it back

Great phone.

It is just way too big.

I can't use it without having to two-hand it. I have big hands none the less.

I'm sticking with my Galaxy Nexus with AT&T.

OH, damn this was premature!

I thought I closed the window, guess I hit send.

I was going to take it back but then my friend (2 doors down) saw my Facebook post about it. He called me up and said he'd buy my Nexus for $600. I laughed and told him he could buy a new one from Expansys for that price. He laughed and said, "So? I know how you are weird about treating your phones like they're gold. So I'll just buy yours!" I was a bit hesitant, he hangs up the phone. 20 seconds later my door bell rings and he is standing there with $600 bucks asking me where his phone is.

I ended up taking it and I'll force myself--don't get me wrong the phone is awesome. I just know that it will change my life for the better. I can't one-hand it at all, so no more texting and emailing while I'm driving a car. Good thing, I rather not cause an accident. I can't really call with it, but then again I have SYNC in my truck so I just use the voice commands to make calls.

Now if only I can figure out how to remove some stupid stuff like the dumb "YP" link in my phone book contact list.

If you end up routing the phone and removing the bloatware just make sure to keep a backup of your original apk files, if the updates go anything like they did on the Atrix you need them or the update will brick the phone. Just a heads up

Glad to hear you kept the phone

I for one feel safer on the road however if absolutely necessary, not that any text message is worth endangering another, save for it saving someone else's life, why not use "speach-to-text" for your written correspondence? Or the "small keyboard"?

I wish there was a safe way to do that. I'm just disgusted at how much crap AT&T piles on this. I don't care about AT&T MyFile, or Messages, or some of the other dumb stuff.

I rather just not bother with it. One less thing to occupy my precious time LOL.

My Note was delivered on Friday and it is impressive. I thought i would never give up my Evo 4G more less switch from Sprint. After setting up my Note i noticed that Telenav has licensed their navigation to AT&T.So now its called AT&T Navigation even though its really Telenav and after 30 days if I want to continue to use I have to pay $9 a month. I used Telenav free for 2 years now. Plus you cannot download Telenav from the Market, its like AT&T has blocked it. This is a blower. Oh well.

I came from the Galaxy Nexus on VZW...I honestly had no choice, I.loved the Gnex, but I just couldn't take not being able to use 4G in my house for the last few weeks....something has been up with Vzw and they're signal near my house...I tried using the Razr Maxx ...same issues with the signal. So after some complaining to vzw they agreed to let me out of my contract without a penalty.

I decided to go with the Note and so far I'm really happy, at&t's LTE is on the money (everywhere) and my BIG hands are liking this beast so far.

The one thing bugging me right now is the dang 5 icons wide.

I'm so use to the 4 icon wide on Nexus, I had everything strategically placed. Now I can't find an arrangement that works. I've been spending the last hour moving icons around LOL.

Same here....annoying indeed! However, I'll take the solid data connection and my 5000 roll over minutes against perfectly layed out icons any day of the week. Took me a solid day to really arrange everything to my liking.

You should try swype texting for those hard to reach letters. I noticed that even though I was barely able to reach letters on the left side of the keyboard (holding right hand), I still got enough letters correct for swype to figure out what I meant.

Go Launcher EX allows you to set up a 4 column wide grid on the Home screen and App drawer. You can also resize the widgets too.

I can identify with the icon issue. I don't use many apps so i just have 3 columns down the center of the screen for my two home screens.

That way i can reach all icons regardless of whether I'm using my right or left hand. And reaching the news icon when the phandroid app launches with the right hand is impossible. But texting is no problem.

No way I'd give it up though the screen is awesome and reading articles and watching videos is absolutely awesome!

In my opinion AT&T navigator is junk at $10 a month. Google Navigation is free and works perfectly. Just my $0.02

Just got this -- pretty cool.

The Calendar widget is just what I wanted, except the stupid things resets back to Calendar. I want it to stay on Agenda period. UGH why can't people put logic into things.

Here's my current setup. :)

Almost a week with my Note and the 4G LTE speeds are ridulous. I noticed a cellphone tower about 4 blocks away from my house over the years. At first I thought it was a Sprint or Verizon tower but now since i switched over to At&T it's theirs. I average 52 mbps downloads and 13 mbps uploads at home in doors in a apartment. With my Evo I couldn't connect to 4G where I live, its in other areas but just not my neighborhood. Loving the LTE speeds with At&T. Does suck up the battery a little but the battery is getting better and better with each charge plus i brought some extra batteries off ebay and a wall/travel charger. Go LTE!

Try "Pure calendar". It has agenda widgets for any style, skin, size. You can tweek it to fit into your theme .

Why no nfc love why can't we use the phone for how they are made? Why does the phone companies love to screw with the phone?

Hey Taylor you might want to read up on NFC. Some hackers found a exploit in the NFC technology and hacked into it. So Google and Visa/Mastercard and the participating financial institutes are working on security measures to close the holes. It's better to be safe than sorry. You don't want your account cleaned out by some group like Anonymous or something.
