Buy n2 in Taipei?

Hi everyone,

I'm in Taipei with my wife visiting her family. There are so many people here with the note 2!

I'm thinking of buying one here. I can get the factory unlocked international version. I'm currently on contract with AT&T with an iPhone 5, which would go to my wife to replace her 4.

Question- is there any advantage to buying a note 2 here? Are the n7100's being sold in the us the same as the ones here?

Since my wife will be off contract with her iPhone 4 in early December (family plan), would it make more sense for her to extend her contract with a note 2, and we switch phones?

Int version will get updates quicker from what I understand, but I don't think it will run on AT&T LTE.

That would be a deal breaker for me. Can anyone verify that n7100 will/won't work on AT&T LTE? I live in the sf bay area.
