Buying a G2 and using it on AT&T network

I was wondering how well the G2 phone (from T-Mobile) would work on the AT&T network? I have another 18 months left on my contract with AT&T.

Thoughts?
 
If it's anything like the original Nexus1, you'll only be able to get 2G service. T-Mobile uses the 1700 mhz band for 3G, AT&T uses 1900 mhz.
