So is there a way to get the Galaxy Note on T-Mobile 3g/4g speeds? If so, anyone have a tutorial on how? I currently have an LG Thrill on T-Mobile with 4G speeds and it is an AT&T branded phone.

Perhaps I can rephrase this to be slightly more helpful
You could root the phone and then make the necessary adjustments to the software to have the phone respond to the frequencies used by T-Mobile. Not for the faint of heart but highly possible (not that I have tried TBH). If you want to give it a go then start by looking into the "all things root" sub forum.
