Help Buying from Amazon and Wirefly questions

After receiving a phone through either, can you call Verizon and add services that weren't offered at the time of purchase? For example, I just purchased through Amazon and they did not offer the $5 text plan or the $1.99 extended warranty.

Amazon can not process corporate discounts. Can I call Verizon and have that discount applied to my monthly bill?

I'm assuming that I'll be billed through Verizon, right?

Can I take my phone to Verizon stores for service or do they have to be sent to Amazon?

I have the same questions as above plus these:

1. What is the 1.99 service plan you speak of?
2. Will vzw transfer my contacts for free for me?
3. How would I go about changing my number? Or can my 1 phone have 2 numbers? 1 I use for work, 1 for personal but all forward to same phone?

I believe that the extended warranty only covers defects with the phone while yours would cover things like losing it and damage caused by you.

Do these phones come activated in the mail? Or, do you get to activate it after you open the box? I'm porting a number from Sprint, but I need my phone all day for work. So I need to do it myself at the right time.
