Help Buzzy earpiece speaker?

When my in-call volume is about 50% or higher and I'm talking to someone with a deep voice, I get a buzz through the earpiece when they talk like the speaker can't handle the volume/tone. Does anyone else have this problem? Turning down the volume helps, and I don't get it when I talk to my wife.
 
I have that problem also but at the lowest volume setting. It almost seems like the lowest volume is to loud also. I think I will be exchanging mine as well. They better not try giving me a refurb!
 
I took mine in to swap it out, but they wanted to try to restore the factory defaults first. I was convinced it wouldn't help but let them try anyway. Sure enough, it sounds better now. At the highest volume it occasionally sounds like a kazoo (which I think is normal), but it sounds crisper and less tinny at lower volumes now. I'm not sure if it was the reset or maybe jostling the phone as they worked on it, but it seems fixed!
 
I made a post about this in here yesterday. It may have gotten buried by all the new posts. They swapped mine out right away. New one doesn't have the buzz. It was very bad on my phone...like a blown speaker
 
I also had the problem. Exchanged mine last night. The sound on the earpiece is not very good at all. Very pitch at times but the buzzing is gone.
 
If your volume is all the way up on a call, do you get a kazoo-like sound, or is it as clear as it is at lower volumes? I'm clear now until about 80%, but above that some louder sounds get blown out.

Thanks guys. I'm trying to figure out if I'm having the same issue as you (but to a lesser degree), or if this is normal.
 
My buzz was kazoo-like at any volume. New phone has no buzz, even on max, which is as loud as my og droid. I don't understand how some peoples gnex's aren't that loud but mine is. Sounds like they changed earpieces during production or somethin crazy is going on. I have to turn mine down from Max bc it hurts my ear
 
Mine was buzz at low setting and really the lowest setting is still pretty loud. My new one is the same in regarding to volume level but the buzzing is gone
