In preparation of June 4th, I put my 32GB iPhone 3GS (JB/Unlocked) on Craigslist yesterday for $600. Sold in less than one day.
Now I'mbecause I'm one step closer to the EVO, and
because I have to wait the 9 remaining days with an AT&T Tilt (8925).
COME ON JUNE 4TH!!!!!!!
i loved my Katana... i had the black one, and then the screen broke one day and they switched it out with the "newer model" which was nothing like a katana and it sucked ass!!!! i would probably still have the katana if i didn't get screwed over

wow, $600? A used private value? Seems like you scored on that deal.
Honestly, it's pretty shocking to see how many people are leaving the iPhone for the EVO. I never would've imagined that happening.

I can! As a present iPhone owner, I grew weary of the interface after about 2 months...I currently have a 3g, but also had the first gen iPhone that died 2 weeks out of the box!
The replacement only lasted for a year, then when it went out exactly 1 day after the warranty expired, AT&T refused to replace it and I had to pay 199 to upgrade to the 3G, which drops call consistently, freezes quite often, all of which has dampened my enthusiasm for the iPhone.
I forgot the best part; when I upgraded the phone after being told by the rep @ the AT&T store, those suckas switched my contract end date from April 2010 to December 2010....I am going to strut into RS like a peacock on June 4th to pick up my new EVO!
Goodbye to Flash hating Steve, sweatshops in China/Tiawan, and Jobs sack hugging apple fanboys and girls everywhere!!!
I'm not bitter, really!!!![]()
Well guess what, it's your lucky day.
199.99 did ya see the pic I also got ROOT![]()

Check out my phone, I think I got ya beat, went from a Hero to this. And welcome by the way.
Drex,
It's not shocking to me. I'm on ATT and though I've always been intrigued by iPhone, I never got one. Nothing but complaints about connections from my friends that have had them since the original versions. And though they love the iPhone, I get almost all the multimedia functions they do from the iPod Touch. No camera and no calls and some apps that integrate those features, but not even my friends who are devoted to iPhone hold back in wishing it wasn't on ATT.
Now with the new iPhone coming out but not a 4G phone, many of my iPhan friends are beginning to question their generational upgrade past practices. Sure they'll get some new features; but this time with the Evo, Incredible, and other announced Android phones, they're beginning to see that they will not be on the bleeding edge of the value/innovation curves. That was part of the allure of having the iPhone for many of them.
A while ago, I said there'd be a lot of iPhones going up on eBay right about now, and there are.
I'm surprised that more people aren't just going to use the iPhone as an iPod, but then again, it's probably twice as thick so not at all multi device carry friendly.
What's shocking to me most though is that nothing ground-breaking is coming out of the new iPhone. Or at least nothing that's been leaked. And I don't think there would have been a way or desire to stop the leaks given the ground that both Apple and ATT will lose.
The final shocker will be that I believe the upcoming iPhone will not possibly be able to meet or exceed previous generations sales or projections. It just doesn't look like the upcoming version will have that magic.
I get a pretty decent discount at ATT and was willing to wait to compare what's expected with the iPhone to what the Evo will have. But at this point, I and many others have decided that there's enough to know that we don't have to wait.
The past 12 months have been simply stunning with these type of developments. Thank goodness Google and Android stirred the stagnant pot!

If you look up my model iPhone with firmware 3.1.2 and 5.11.07 baseband, thats what they go for (Some are listed even higher!). I couldnt believe it when I started to research.
Now I just have to hope when I go to the bank tomorrow they dont tell me the $20's are counterfeit!!
It's enough for AT&T's ETF, the EVO, and lots of EVO goodies. I definitely scored on this deal.
I'm using one similar (after selling my iPhone), and I'm wondering if I'm going to make it until next Friday. It SUCKS not having internet, games, or GPS with me at all times.
I'm on the fence about ditching my iPhone for the Evo. There are a lot of factors pulling me both ways. The biggest factors keeping me to the iPhone are that I already have a decent amount invested in the apps, the built in iPod, and the fact that the OS is so refined and there are never any issues with lag or anything whatsoever. On the other side, I am a microsoft developer (not mobile) and am into being able to customize my electronics so that is the biggest thing pulling me towards Android. I'll be waiting to hear the new iPhone anouncement and get some real world feedback from the Evo before making my decision, but lately I've been leaning more and more towards the Evo.
