Lol...My note 2 is on the way and will be here on Monday! However I'm not trading in my n4, no way I can live without pure android and this phone. I happen to have 2 lines, and my at&t line is due for an upgrade and while I was waiting for Blackberry to introduce they're new line on Jan 30th, I decided to just grab a note 2 after playing with my buddy's the other day. The phone is just awesome, and will basically serve as my business line as well as allowing me have arguably the 2 best phones available on the market right now.
It was not so much something I did not like because I didn't know what was better or worse than the Nexus 4 vs the Note 2. I wanted the pen, sd card, otg and the larger screen. I now find I like the larger size, as I have rather large hands. I don't accidentally keep pushing the buttons on the side of the Note 2 phone. I also happen to like Touch Wiz as I have it on my GNote 10.1. I am not really that concerned with quick updates or having the latest versions. I would have gotten a Note 2 in the first place If I could have afforded it unlocked with no contract which I could not. However! I could afford the Nexus 4. I found someone that bought a T-mobile Note 2 on contract because they could not afford a Nexus 4. They kept their contract and switched the contract to the Nexus 4, requested the Note 2 be unlocked and I got an unlocked Note 2 without a contract so it was a win win situation for us. There are other things I am finding that for me are better but I'll be talking about them later.

I'm in the same boat as Sean, once my tax returns come back I'll be getting a t-mobile Note 2 as a second device and put it on the $30 a month plan. It'll be nice having the best of both worlds with Touchwhiz and all the S-Pen stuff, OTG, SD slot and big screen and all but still having my Nexus to play with too. I don't think anyone could argue that those are the best combo of Android phones to get right now.

I have N4 traded my Note 2 for it and I use a Lumia 920. Its a nice phone and I use it as my main driver. Got a Nexus 4 just to keep up to date Android OS.

Exactly what I'm doing...just a Lil different... My n4 will keep rolling on T-mo with everything unlimited for $70, and my note 2 will be rolling on my at&t plan with some LTE love. Best of both Android worlds IMO.

Hey remember you can only use one phone at a time unless you are an octopus or something.
As I use the Note 2 I find that the calls made using Talkatone over WiFi are much better quality without having to make any adjustments other than to increase the speaker settings in Talkatone when speaking to my wife. She speaks very softly. The Note 2 does not have the mic gain problem that the Nexus 4 has.
I find the screen of the Note 2 to be quite a bit cooler in color than the Nexus 4. I am still not sure which I think is better color wise. Sharpness of text and images is so great on both as I can not see any thing but smooth curves no matter how hard I look. I can not see any dots on either screen so dpi and resolution are fine for me on both.
I don't like for the physical button on the Note 2. I would rather have the center button be the same as the menu and back buttons. Also I think it looks cheap. I love how the back and menu buttons are not on the screen and do not show but light when touched. I find the arrangement of the buttons on the Note 2 better for me. On the Nexus 4 the back button always seemed to be on the wrong side. Of course the real estate of the screen is awesome the thinner frame around the screen makes the phone look even bigger than it is.
I don't like the fact the Note 2 uses S-Beam instead of Android Beam as they don't work together as far as I can tell. My wife has an Xperia Acro S using Android beam and we were able to beam some pictures sometimes between it and the Nexus 4 via NFC and Android Beam but we can't beam pictures using S-Beam and Android Beam between the Xperia Acro S and the Note 2. We were able to beam a Youtube but really that just beamed the link and opened up the Youtube player.

Wow! A Note 2 and an N4?! That's keen.
I guess if you need 2 phones it makes sense, though I wouldn't have thought there's that much difference size-wise. Shame the second one couldn't have been something like an N7.

I am backing up off the note 2 train though. Returning it tonight to at&t, I'm just way to used to a nexus and prefer stock android.My second line will most likely be dominated by one of the new Blackberries being announced at the end of January.

Just picked up a near mint bold 9700 tmobile, it's smaller than my nexus 4's screen haha

I have the Nexus 4, it was supposed to be my, stop trading for every other phone that comes out, but the bug is striking again. I'm just so curious. I had the original Note and really really liked it. It was just too wide and flat. Then I got the S3 and really liked it. Then the Nexus came out and I upgraded. Now I'm really wanting to try the Note 2. I do kind of miss some of those features, and if I root I can always throw a stock ROM on it and make it feel "pure"

Its a very hard transition, I put nova prime on the note 2, along with some other goodies and just couldn't shake the fact that its just not Vanilla android. I've been away from touch wiz since I got rid of my S3, and just really don't miss it. And I gotta say, never thought I would....I really came to love the true look of the nexus 4's screen compared to Sammy's Super Amoled screen...oh well, is what it is!

I feel ya. I miss the s-pen and a few touchwhiz things as well as the storage and audio quality, so it'll be 2 devices for me soon.
They have plenty of used Note 2s on craigslist, some as low as like $450.
