Bye guys

I haven't been real active here the last few months, but there was a lot of good info here, particularly concerning rooting the Commando. I've enjoyed my 18 months with the Commando and now have traded it in for a Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD. Pretty awesome phone. The 4G on it is faster than my home wi-fi (20 Mbps vs. 5.5 Mbps). That, the dual core processor and double the Commando's memory lured me away. No more irritations with running out of RAM. Best of all I've been on it most of the day setting it up the way I want it and still have 72% of the 3300 mah battery left.

I looked at the Casio Type L and an 1800 mah battery just wasn't going to cut it.

Best of luck to all.

You're smart.

I've got my upgrade tomorrow, and I'm going down the same path. I couldn't be any more excited to get away from this Commando. I can't wait for three days without a charge on the Razr Maxx HD.

Although, I will do a factory reset and use my Commando as a rugged waterproof camera, something I've needed for a while.

I'm at the crossroads myself with this phone. I've become very comfortable with it but I would like a bit bigger display, automatic flash, better battery life and 4g. I do like the bulkiness and solid feel of the commando especially after playing with some of the newer phones, too thin and slippery for me.
