Help Bypass activation screen question

I tried searching for an answer but can't seem to find anything.

Does anyone know if it's possible to bypass the activation screen on the GNex by tapping the four corners of the activation screen? This worked on my old DX but wasn't sure if it works on ICS.

After a lapse in judgment I'm ditching my iPhone and going back to android. But I won't be able to take it to the store to activate it and get a new sim card till tomorrow. I was hoping to be able to play with my new phone in the meantime. Thanks!

yes it does. i use it every time i install a new ROM.

You said "sim card", so I assume GSM? I didn't get a sim for mine for several days, and I had no issue using it in the meantime and setting all my apps, etc up. It doesn't have an activation screen, it goes right to the launcher.

Just wanted to say the 4 corner method worked perfectly on my Gnex just now. It usually takes me a few tries to get it on my daughters DX2 but I got it on the first try with my Gnex. Thanks guys!

When you do it, keep continuing the pattern; I usually get it on my 2nd/3rd time tapping around the screen.
