Bypass lockscreen using root?

I have AndroidLost on my phone and recently it decided to go haywire, set a password on my phone then lock itself. I've verified this wasn't malicious, outside activity - none of my accounts have been hacked. I've done a backup, and that hasn't solved my issue, is there anyway I can, with root, unlock my phone?

Have you tried settings, location and security, set up screen lock? This allows you to set up and disable password access.

I cannot access my phone right now. I'm stuck on the lock screen.

Ah, I see your problem! Sorry not sure, but am sure one of the clever chaps on here can advise. Not sure rooting would work though.
