Help Bypassing Activation Question

I'm getting this phone for my G/F and would like her to be able to play around with the phone a bit before activating. This is her 1st smartphone, so she needs to be relatively comfortable with it before shutting down her old cell phone.

That being said - what can/can't she do once activation is bypassed?

Will the WIFI work? Can she d/l free apps?

This is going to be a huge change for her - she really wants a smartphone - but she needs to feel sorta warm and fuzzy about the thing b4 killing her old phone

So, the fascinate will be here Mon. I would still like to bypass activation and let my g/f get comfortable with it b4 activating.

Anybody do this? Comments? Suggestions?

Just activate it and allow her to play with it...if she doesnt like it return it and reactivate the old phone
