well I did it.
I jumped ship.
I bought a Samsung S3.
Actually 2, one for me and one for my wife.

My biggest reason for not letting go of the Droid is the lap top dock. I really don't like typing on glass and when I have a longer than a paragraph email to write I would get out the lap top dock and type away.

So for the S3 I bought a blue tooth keyboard. It's just a little bit smaller than a standard desktop keyboard, and it works great. I don't have the big screen of course but I can live with that.

If any of you are thinking about jumping ship too I highly recommend the S3. Plus there are lots of cheap accessories and batteries and stuff on Ebay.

So anyway, it's been real, it's been nice... I really appreciate all your guy's help over the last year or so.

C YA on the S3 board.

nice, personally I was not satisfy with my galaxy S and dont really know anything about S3 I do like the way droid bionic handles every OS and apps

I'm waiting for the note 2 our the big screen htc that's coming out. The s3 is good now, but it's almost 4 months old and the hardware over the next few months yes going to get even more interesting

I'm also waiting for the Note2 to hit Verizon and once it hits I'll spend some "quality" time with it. I'll have to pay full price so it better be great or I'll pass. Not sure if the Razr Maxx HD will enough of a difference from what I've got now to make it worth spending hundreds of bucks on it.

Congrats. I've been wanting to bail on the Bionic but haven't yet. S3 is a nice phone.

I too think I would switch for the Note 2. Although I feel like I should just get Nexus devices from now on, so maybe I'll have to see if that mystery device from HTC does end up being the next Nexus.

I have a bluetooth keyboard made for the Zoom and a Microsoft bluetooth mouse. There is an app should you decide to keep your bionic, that I have used on my droid x, but not tested on the bionic. It's called "Null keyboard" on the playstore. What it did for me was, it would stop the virtual keyboard from popping up and getting in my way when ever I chose to use the bluetooth keyboard.

When I was done, I would just re-enable my favorite keyboard. :)

I went from the Bionic to the Galaxy Nexus as a replacement through Tech support. Love the G-NEX such a great device.

Best of luck on the GS3!

It's funny comparing the bionic board to the s3 board. I noticed two similar posts about batteries suddenly dying on both phones today. I have had pretty good battery life on my s3 then today it died. I had to replace it with a spare. I wonder if Verizon was doing something ota today. I don't even know if that's possible but it made me wonder. Kind of coincidental that phones from different manufacturers are experiencing the same issue on the same day. Hmmm...

Isn't this the Bionic forum?

Just tryin to help...
Get past the bionic / s3 thing and look at Verizon doing something to your battery.
