Help Calendar help: Subscribe to a calendar and delete a calendar

OK, having a lot of problems with the calendar today.

I'm trying to get my Tripit calendar into the stock calendar app. If I go into Calendars and click on Add account, I see Tripit listed, but when I select it I'm immediately taken back to my calendar list, but nothing else happens.

So while trying to find a way to manually subscribe to the calendar feed I stumbled across the option to Create a calendar. The first thing it asked for was the name of the calendar, so I entered something in, thinking it would then give me a place to paste in the URL for the feed...but no, it just created a new named calendar in My Calendar list and now I can't figure out how to delete it.

So 2 questions:
1) How do I delete a manually created calendar?
2) Where can I enter a URL for a calendar feed?

I had this working at one point before I had to replace my phone, so I know it has to be possible.

Edit: I've figured out #1, there is a delete option on the create calendar screen, I think it was hidden when I was viewing in landscape.

#2 I'd like help with though, still can't find anything online about how to do this

As long as it's an iCal calendar (it seems to be) it should work. Read https://www.tripit.com/uhp/calendarInfo

Thanks. But I'm not seeing any Android specific instructions there. Do I need to add via Google Calendar first? I don't have a Google calendar, just S-Planner.

I think I might have figured out how it worked previously though. I just added Tripcase, which is pretty similar to Tripit, and it offers the ability to download the ics file. Once it is downloaded I can open it up using the S-Planner app on my phone. I think Tripit used to have the same option, but right now I just see a link, but no download option. Will have to take a look at it another time, as I'm about to head to the airport.
