Help Calendar not syncing with Google Calendar

Hello, for some reason when I add an event into my Calendar on my HTC One (M8) it does not sync with my Google Calendar on my laptop or iPad yet when I add an event to my Google Calendar via my laptop it immediately sync's with my HTC One Calendar.

Please help. This is beyond frustrating. I have owned my HTC One since September, 2014 and so far it has been nothing but trouble for me. This is the first time I've used an Android. Thank you.

Your calendar app supports multiple calendars - when you add an event, are you putting on your Gmail account calendar? That ought to sync. If not, check under main settings, Accounts, see that Sync is on and if there are any errors under Google.

If your laptop is a Mac, check your calendar under the Gmail website to see if it's getting there from the phone, but not down to iCal. If so, that's a bug between Gmail and the Mac, not your phone. That one comes and goes for me.

Welcome to the forums!

I solved my endless problem trying to sync my Google calendar with my Galaxy S5 which would then sync to my iCal. I downloaded SyncMate (free version) and now successfully sync my iCal on my Macs (laptop and mini) with my phone. It is seamless and works via my wifi. You can also sync via bluetooth, USB, etc. :p

And yes, for some reason I had to revert back to keeping both my Samsung calendar and the Google calendar app (I love the look).

This is one way to override Google's calendar issues and sync without any hassles.

Yeah, the thing with SyncMate is that it is for Macs only. If you look at the reviews in the Play Store it's got some pretty low marks. And, to make matters worse, it doesn't look like it's been updated since last August.

Don't expect too much. :specsdroid:
