Help Calendar notifications vs. message notifications

My wife is about ready to kill me when she hears the calendar notification go off at midnight for all day events. I would like to always get a message notification sound but never get a calendar notification sound. Is there any way to do this without going through all of my calendar entries and removing the reminders?

I see that calendar and messaging are allowed their own unique sounds. Is it possible to set the volume level on calendar notification to zero while leaving the message notification level alone?

Just change the sound profile to vibrate. You'll "hear" or "feel" it and you'll still get the on screen notification.

Question? Why have a calendar alarm on, for an all day event?

There are a ton of them set up. Just though that there might be an easier way than removing the reminders.

HUH?!

Removing the reminders? I never said remove the reminders.

Did you understand what I mean, when I suggested that you change the sound profile (at night)?

or am I missing something?

Sorry, my mistake. I suppose I could change the settings at night and morning. Just another thing to remember twice a day. My wife likes to have the reminders for things like birthdays and anniversaries. She sets them for about two weeks before the event so she has plenty of time to prepare.

With everything else this phone does, I just thought there might be a way of having one notification but not the other.

Ha ha....my phone has made my Italian wife more upset than anything....I have fixed that by putting the Evo on full silent....what is really interesting is that the alarm clock (which I use the phone for) still goes off full tilt in the morning (which further infuriates my wife). I will never get a break.
