Help Calendar Sync

I read through several articles about sync but none seems to work. Here is the thing.

Until July or so of 2013 I had a different droid (Samsung Charge). My phone calendar seemed always to syn with my google calendar.

Around the middle of July I got this new Glaxy S4. Never really looked at the calendar since then until yesterday when I noticed neither account was syncing and my google calendar was blank..

in calendar menu -> calendars it shows both accounts. They are @gmail.com instead of @google.com maybe that is the problem but I don't think it would be? (It also shows Holidays in the United States).

In Settings-Accounts it shows both. The user name is long so all you can see
is

name1@g...
name2@gmail...

but I assume (they should be) gmail.com. It just doesn't display. There is the little green ring to the left of each with the two little green arrows (the sync symbol). Underneath it says last synched 3/12/2014 07:44 (3 minutes ago).

Long clicking on each account gives a menu with a whole bunch of sync options. For both, "Sync Calendar" is checked.

I did a "sync now" anyway

in addition, contacts I added via phone on Sunday Mar 9 are in the contacts list in contacts.google.com

But my google calendar is blanks. Why is that?

I moved this to the S4 forum where other device owners can lend a hand. It sounds like it may be touchwiz specific.

If you get notified about this post, then yes. Honestly, aside from one or two places where you need special access, thread moves don't affect notifications.

I suggest going into your calendar, tap menu, calendars, Display. Make sure there are check marks next to each calendar you want displayed on your device.

Oh and don't forget to tap "DONE" at the top, the back button will not automatically save your changes, from what I have seen.

Re-force a full sync. This is done google-side.

to do this, go into each of your individual calendars then export
then re-import the file(s) you just created.

This will instigate a sync of ALL events to your handset.

I did do an export contacts from google. Unfortunately it did not export as text. So if I had a number 6305551212 it exported it as like 6.3055E+9 unfortunately. Or do you mean the calendar?

Each event had either a little red vertical bar next to it or a blue vertical bar next to it (some like "no title" had neither) and I noticed the ones with the red vertical bars were synched to the calendar, and the blue ones were not. Does this make any sense?

Try to check under your Google acct., using the internet browser under Cal. and make sure everything is set up to sync there too.
