When I try to use my calendar, it says "There are no calendar events currently syced. You can set up a calendar to sync in Accounts." How do I do this and where is Accounts? My wife and daughter did not have to do this. I have trashed my calendar a couple of times hoping a restart would work but it doesn't.

A factory reset is terrible advice. From a home screen press the options button and go to settings > accounts and sync > select the gmail account and make sure the box next to sync calendar is checked. The initial sync sometimes takes a bit, so don't freak out if the calendar still displays the same message at first.

I would not be anxious to do a factory reset of a phone I've had a while and spent considerable time configuring. If it's a new phone, no big deal.
