Since the google calendar (that does not know PDT exists?????) is a piece o' crap. Does anyone know of a way to program an event in the calendar that will not change with the timezone?

Last time I flew to orlando from CA, it changed my calendar event to reflect the new time zone. But I had already entered things based on local time. Is there a way to make it understand an absolute value time? (for lack of a better way to state it)

On GB I've yet to find one that does what your describe so I adjust the time I enter for events to the local time for the event so that when I do travel there the event time is correct. Granted, I only travel out of my local time zone a few times a year, this had worked well for me since the days of my old Eris. With ICS when going into the Quick Event app there is an option for setting the event location that relies on GPS. I am assuming that this will adjust properly when traveling since the phone is aware of your current location but I have not yet had the opportunity to try it out.
