Facebook populated my calendar with "friends" birthdays. I do not want friends birthdays in my calendar. I though that sync was OFF, and after checking, sync was/is off. I want to delete the "friends" birthdays from my calendar. Is there a way to delete the birthdays without having to delete Facebook? Thank you for your assistance.

This is WAY too ironic reading your post, I just went to my calendar yesterday and when it opened it was LOADED with all my FB contacts birthdays. I have EVERY single privacy and all other settings set to OFF or DO NOT SYNC and yet the scum of the earth at FB somehow over rode my settings and forced that $hit to my calendar.
One more sleazy Zuckerburg move like that and no more FB for me, actually don't even know why I waste the hour I spend at FB a week anyway. Total crap

I almost set up the fb app but it all got too personal to be honest, didn't want the damn thing to display too much so I quit the setup.
You made the right move. I set my acct up during the summer of 2009 for my reunion and just a few months later I saw my posts all over the internet when I Googled my name so I deactivated the acct and just recently during this past Christmas family talked me into reactivating but no joke...One more move by FB like this recent calendar issue and I'll NEVER even remember who FB was, I need them like a toothache...they DO need us or their advertisers walk.

Just go to your calendar settings then go to calendar uncheck Facebook.

It was unchecked, thats what is so infuriating about this, somehow FB went around the settings and populated all my FB contacts birthdays into my native Google calendar on the Note 2.
Yes that did the trick. The calendar settings are within the word CALENDARS at the top of the calendar, next to the TODAY button. Both Facebook, and friends birthdays were checked -- although not by me.
