Help calender GONE!!!

I just updated to the new att firmware on my galaxy s2 and the calender was fine for about a week then just now as I was looking at it is deleted everything. I have alot of important stuff on it. How can I get it back? It happend when I hit the button to see diferant views (new button for the update) and it just cleared it all. Please help I need to find this stuff. I did back up with kies before the install but it was fine a secound ago.
 
I backed up my phone with kies before I updated. How can I restore the calender from kies? Do I need to restore everything? I can't see any files or whatever in kies, do I need to plug the phone in to look at the restore options?
 
So I think what happened is the "calender" is now called "s planner" and it didn't back up because it doesn't recognize "calender" anymore. But my info was in there for like a week? How did it just disapear? This sucks, looks like I'm screwed. I would think if it synced it would populate the empty calender with the full one not just delete the full one and replace it with a blank google one.
 
In the calendar app go to 'Settings > Calendars to display' and select what you want. Check the manual for more info.
 
Ok I made a google calender and pu tthe holidays on it then synced it to phone and checked the box for holidays on my phone and they don't show up. Then it says I can't synch with kies and google calender due to issues with samsung. What the hell is going on??? Why can't they just leave them alone. It was wirking fine and now looks like crap and dosen't work.
 
Google calendar puts holidays in automatically for you if selected in setup. Likely nothing is actually wrong, you just need to spend some time reading and learning how to use stuff.

Can't help with Kies except to say you don't *have* to use it - and I wouldn't.
 
Thanks for the help but I guess I'm screwed on getting my dates/appointments back. Anyway I brain stormed and made some calls and got some stuff, and the holidays and all my facebook invites popped up randomly, so I got that stuff. If I sync it will it put the stuff I typed into my phone on the google calender (like a back up, less likley to randomly delete it's self)? If not how?
 
I can't find a manual. Does anyone know how to import/sync my calender into my google calender? or outlook calender?

Ok still not working. I filled my calender on my phone but google calender is still empy. I can't seem to get this, what could be wrong?
 
I down loaded "google calender" app and it already has the other calender was already imported. I tryed sending a verifacation code to my phone to get them talking or whatever but it still doesn't show on my pc. I think the other calender app I've been using is called "My Calender". Has anyone used this or had problems also? I'm scared to uninstall and loose all my appointments.
