Root Calibration

Forgive my partial newb-ness but I was using GPS status and haven't had luck with a lock...I don't care much bout that but it never gave a solid direction on the compass. It was on a solid level surface so its not user error. Is there a calibration for this? I'm thinking this is why my homerun Derby game don't work right. Any input?

Go to the Market/Playstore & download nook screen calibration, see if that helps

Calibrating the compass is done by waving the phone in a figure-8 pattern for 10-15 seconds.
