My TB has always acted normally, no reboots, no issues. Up until about a week ago, whenever I would be plugged into the aux input of my car and would get a call or text, the music would stop and the phone would either ring or play the text tone through the stereo. All of a sudden, nothing! Sometimes I catch the light out of the corner of my eye when a call comes in but it's very frustrating. I looked through settings today and couldn't find anything out of the ordinary. Any ideas?

Mine did the same thing. I played the tone thru the stereo for about a week, and hasn't done it since, can't figure out why???
Did you end up finding a solution?
nope, never did. weird thing is, it will play some of the notifications thru the stereo but not others.

Have you tried plugging some headphones in to see if it experiences similar behavior? I'd say if the signal has no problem with a pair of headphones connected to it then it shouldn't have any issues with a car Aux unless there's some sort of software within the car's system that's preventing the signal from being processed? What's the make/model of the cars involved? If there are no symptoms when connecting some headphones then it's most likely related to the car's stereo.
You also might try to lower the ringer volume/system volume to the same levels as the media's volume (IIRC the system volume is the same as the media volume) to see if that helps. Maybe you're overwhelming the car's amplifier and it's shutting itself off.
