Help Call divert when online

Ok so I've had a search around on here but can't find a solution. When I'm surfing the net on my Desire HD and someone calls me they get diverted to my voicemail, this didnt always happen so I've obviously changed a setting unintentionally! I can't seem to find the setting to interrupt my browsing to allow me to take the call, any help much appreciated :)

Anyone? This is really starting to bug not only me but my Mrs when she is trying to call me lol The only way I know I have had a call is I get a txt alert saying 'missed call etc' but I know that before when I was online and got a call it would ring as normal and I could take the call GRRRRR!

You sure you're not hitting End call inadvertently? I can't say I've ever had this problem.

Defo not no, I've even tried just sitting my phone down while online browsing and calling it from my landline and it goes straight to voicemail, really starting to pi55 me off bigtime! Lol

That's really strange, I just tried mine and I've no issues whatsoever.

What software build are you using? I've got the infamous 2.2.1 and I can't find a decent change log which details if that was a problem corrected from 2.2. Obviously a moot point if you're on 2.2.1 also.

Yeah 2.2.1 also, thing is it USED to be fine so I'm thinking its maybe something really simple like a settings change but I've tried all I know, cheers for help anyway

Settings -> Call -> Additional Settings -> Call Waiting. Is there a tick in the box?

Just looking at the settings on my phone, might be a browser setting too. Are you using the Stock browser or Dolphin/Opera etc?

Sorry if you've tried these things, but I'm stumped!

Yeah there's a tick in the box and I'm using the standard web browser ive not changed anything. Think it may well be a browser setting but I'm stumped if I can find a solution!

So I've done a little research and it seems certain iPhones have this problem also, any time the phone is using a data connection, ie web browsing all calls go straight to voicemail, but I don't have an iPhone! Aaaarrrggghhhh!

0845 8900079 :)

I called them yesterday about an issue I was having with my contacts, go through straight away and the guy sorted the problem in about 2 minutes.

I had this exact same problem when I was with o2. Strangely I never had this with my old phone, but the Desire HD did have this problem. After a lot of research I discovered this is something to do with how the Network prioritise data over voice calls when you are in 2g areas.
I even got the 3rd line support team at o2 to confirm this is the problem, but they couldnt explain why it only affects some people, on some phones.

Solution, switch to Vodafone. They are the only network in the UK that don't have this problem.

If you think I'm crazy (and I wouldn't blame you if you did), see the following thread for other solutions that seem to have worked for other people:

Yeah I'm with Orange too, contacted HTC today and got straight through to speak to someone, that's the good part, I explained the situation and after a few minutes the rep said could I hold for a few moments until he sought advice, yeah no probs I said.....15 minutes of silence later I decided to hang up!

Hi Guys

I am on orange with HTC Desire HD and anyone who ties to call me goes straight on voice most of the times...it doesnt even ring.

Did you guys find any solution to this?
