I have setup GV to only be used when calling international number, since my Verizon number is still my main contact number and I don't want to choose whether I want GV every time I want to place a call.
The main purpose for using GV to me is when I need to give away a temp number so that people can contact me. For example, when I joined a tour group I can give my GV to the guide; or when I sell something on Craigslist I always list my GV number.
Now I wish I could simply open GV app, and dial a number using GV (so the other person will see my GV number). However, after searching for a long time it seems that this is simply not possible. It looks like the GV app is really just for phone integration and text, but can not make an out-going call directly. Is it true or I am missing something? (BTW, I know I can set it up to ask every time, I only use GV occasionally so I don't want to add another step to making calls)
