Call Logs - no call duration

Hi ALL,

I am quite pleased with my Volt but am still learning more details about it. I made a rather long call today and then afterwards I wanted to go into the Call Logs to see how long the call was but it only shows the call start time and no call duration. I even went into the menu and selected All History but it didn't show any more info. I tried a long press but that didn't do anything. When I started this post the forum searched for similar topics and I looked at a few and it looks like the stock Android does not show call duration and you need to install an app to do so. But the most recent post was back in 2011!

So can stock Kit Kat somehow show call durations and if so how. If not can someone recommend a free app to do that?

Thanks,
Gerry

I think you probably have to install a third party dialer, as you mentioned. Sends like a silly thing to leave out, especially for people with plans that have limited minutes.

Hi bg4m3r,

Yeah, I figured as much. So I downloaded Call Log Monitor and it works great. (And its free!) What's mind boggling is why wouldn't such a simple piece of info like the call duration be displayed in the stock Android. Even my ancient Motorola Razr Flip Phone (my phone previous to the Volt and I used it for many years) showed the call duration in its logs!

Oh well, I'm still liking the Volt!!

Thanks again,
Gerry

If you hit the settings button, there should be an option for "Call Duration".

Could you be more specific as to where in settings? I thought I looked at all the settings and could not find anything for Call Duration.

Thanks,
Gerry
