Just tried this and since it doesn't happen on my phone, you're a damn dirty liar. Quit trolling the forums. You don't even have a thunderbolt you iphone fanboy
KIDDING! Just wanted to say it before some other douchebag does. Nah but i can confirm this has happened, but not to me. I tried to replicate the same on mine and couldn't, but i videochatted with a buddy of mine and he says he has your issue on his bolt too. I suspect it's not necessarily a design flaw/defect of the device, but dependant on the user.
Kinda like antennagate. When apple released the iphone 4 with it's new external antenna design, this was a huge deal. And in a way, can be used a study on how the body works. I can't get into any fancy specifics right now, but basically the issue affected thousands of people. But why didn't it affect millions when there were millions of iphone 4 users? Well, because each human body is different and conducts electricity at different levels. This issue affected some and not others. So i'm thinking maybe you and i have the exact same phone with the exact same potential issue,but my body works different than yours so it's not affecting me.
There was a theory my old professor postulated on electrical fields surrounding the human body causing interference in electronic devices. Google around. Interesting stuff. Don't know much about it, but there may be something to it

ahhhh, looks like phone likes to drop to 1 bar or no bars just to spite me. Seems verizon 1 bar is the norm in my area from reviews im reading. I fell into a deep depression and almost pulled the return trigger today. Captn, is your friend bummed about his bolt? I thought Verizon had my back!
