Call Volume too Low

I am loving this phone but I am pretty disappointed with the volume during calls. It is really hard to hear the person on the other end. I turn them all the way up and they are still pretty quiet. I usually talk on a wired headset. I have tried several brands and I try them with my work phone (blackberry) and my infuse. I have noticed a real difference between these 2 phones.

Has anyone else noticed this or had this experience?
 
I have not really had this issue, but i do admit it can be a little quiet if im not using my earphones. Are you using an earphones or an actual headset? Try using the ones that came with the phone its too loud for me using those any more then 75% volume!

I am using earphones. But not the ones that came with the phone. I have been using ones that came with a palm pre and ones that came with an iphone 2g.

The infuse earphones are the kind with the rubber buds that fit very snug in the ear. I think that style probably is a louder type of earphone. The other 2 i mentioned just set in the ear without blocking out as much outside noise. I talk the most while driving and using the infuse stock earphones felt weird because I could hear my own words vibrating in my head. But i am going to have to switch back just to be able to hear the person talking. Thanks for the reply.
 
Add my name to the list of folks who are experiencing low caller volume with my new htc evo 3d. Even in a quiet room I find that I'm straining to hear the caller.

I read somewhere on the forum that the app "volume+ ( sound boost) would help with the problem. It has boosted the volume of other sound functions but has had little if any impact on caller volume.

Can someone give this adroid phone neophyte some advice? Has htc come up with a fix?
 
Either you guys are losing your hearing lol or maybe just the volume is not set high enough, tap on the up volume button ha. I can hear it sorta well, but this only happens when there is screaming in the backround.
 
I am now experiencing the same issue all of a sudden. I have had this phone since it released and never had an issue until now. I have tried the voice quality fix and that did not fix it.
